Thames Valley Rugby Continues Partnership with IntaSport Coaching App
Thames Valley Rugby is pleased to announce a continued partnership with IntaSport for the 2024 rugby season, offering a coaching app to provide essential ongoing support for the dedicated group of volunteer coaches.
IntaSport has crafted a user-friendly mobile app featuring coaching videos, plans, and valuable information. Additionally, the app offers team messaging, fixture details, club / school information and more. As part of this partnership, the app will be free for all coaches in clubs throughout the province. Thames Valley Rugby has taken the initiative to provide the Premium package for all clubs, becoming the first province in the country to do so. This option empowers club administrators with extra features, including sharing club information, direct communication through the app, fixture uploads, and more.
Community Rugby Manager Scott Day comments, “at Thames Valley Rugby we recognise the pivotal role coaches play in creating positive experiences for our young participants. We also understand that our coaches are volunteers and quite often time poor. We believe this ‘one stop shop’ app is a proven initiative to support our coaches and clubs in not just surviving, but thriving.
Scott Day continues, “The app’s content highlights modern coaching approaches that effectively engage young people in rugby, aligning with our key messages of emphasising fun and development. This alignment is a pivotal factor in Thames Valley Rugby’s decision to continue the partnership with IntaSport.”
IntaSport founder Kyle McLean comments, “We’re excited to continue to collaborate with an innovative, forward-thinking provincial union like Thames Valley Rugby to make the IntaSport App available for junior club coaches throughout the province. There is an ever-increasing demand for time-poor volunteer Youth Coaches to access digital content quickly and easily, where this app has been designed to meet those needs and more. And we’re also stoked to that Thames Valley Rugby have made the premium packages available for all clubs which is sure to help streamline club communication and information sharing.”
McLean continues, “Organisations like Thames Valley Rugby are working hard to attract and retain young people in the sport we love and recognise the pivotal role coaches play in shaping the overall experience for players. Coaching today’s youth is challenging, as the days sending players to run laps and lining then up to do repetitive drills are gone. Young people want an engaging experience that captures their attention and imagination. We are immensely proud to share video content of activities and games that are proven to maximise engagement, involvement, and learning. We can’t wait to get the app into the hands of coaches in Thames Valley once again!”
