Neil (Fetch) passed away at Waikato Hospital on June 21, 2024

He was a halfback who had the honour of being one of the New Zealand Rugby Almanack’s Five Promising Players for the 1960 season. Altogether he played 27 games for Thames Valley ending his career with a match against King Country in 1968. Neil played for the Plains South, Ngatea and Kerepehi clubs.

He is the brother and brother-in-law of Jeanette and Robin Povey (TVRFU Patron) and his two sons, Jason #765 and Terry # 798 also played for Thames Valley.

The Thames Valley Rugby Union extends it sympathy to all of Neil’s family.
