The format will remain the same as the previous two seasons, building some consistency and regularity for our clubs, players, coaches, referees, volunteers and supporters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Club Survey at the conclusion of the 2024 season showed that people involved enjoyed the current format, enjoying the length, long weekends off and finals format. The TVRU and COC support the voices of our participants and valued their valuable in-site, especially considering these are the people on the grass every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is extremely positive our Clubs can commit themselves for the Premier Competition prior to Christmas. This provides everyone with certainty as Clubs &amp; Teams begin their planning for the 2025 season. From an operational perspective, this also gives Clubs an opportunity to apply for funding, organise logistics and leverage the Club facilities to their maximum potential.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The same eight (8) teams will contest for the McClinchy Cup in 2025. It is promising to see all Clubs confirming Head Coach appointments for the upcoming season, and player recruitment already in full swing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Key Draw Information:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Same <strong>format<\/strong> as\u00a02023 and 2024.<\/li>\n<li>ALL teams will play\u00a0<strong>12 competition matches.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Each team will have\u00a0<strong>6 home\/6 away\u00a0<\/strong>matches in the Round Robin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Easter <\/strong>&amp;\u00a0 <strong>Kings Birthday Weekends\u00a0<\/strong>are off.<\/li>\n<li>The competition will run over <strong>16 rugby weeks in\u00a0total\u00a0from start to finish.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Kick off times can be adjusted but must be communicated to the TVRU office <strong>ten (10)<\/strong> days in advance. Otherwise, the standard 2.00pm kick off will apply.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Finals Day<\/strong> will be on the <strong>12<sup>th\u00a0 <\/sup><\/strong><strong>July<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Thames Valley Swamp Foxes <strong>Ranfurly Shield Challenge<\/strong> vs Taranaki will be played on either the 19<sup>th<\/sup> or 26<sup>th<\/sup> of July.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Silcock Shield <\/strong>will be awarded to the team at the top of the points standings after five (5) rounds. <em>(previously after 7<sup>th<\/sup> round)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Tom Jordan Cup <\/strong>will be awarded to the team at the top of the points standings at the end of Round 12.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Top 4 <\/strong>teams at the end of Round 12 will play for the McClinchy Cup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Senior B Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Competition\u2019s won\u2019t be confirmed until mid-way through February.
