Here is my monthly update to keep you informed as what the Thames Valley RDO is up to.
Well I have been in the new chair for a month and it’s been great meeting all the friendly people of the Thames Valley and still have a number more to catch up with.
I have been up to beauty of the seaside settlement of Whangamata, across to the riverside Thames, through the gorge to Waihi and under the mountain of Te Aroha, this month I have planned to get up to the Coromandel.
It is schools month on my calendar and I have a number of schools booked in for skills visits which is awesome, if your school hasn’t booked you had better do it fast as there is only a few days left on the calendar to fit you in in.
Coming up this week is Girls Have A Go Rugby Day on Wednesday at the Paeroa Domain so it will be cool to meet all the upcoming Black Ferns in the Valley.
Rep season is gradually making its presence with skills days/evenings coming up starting this coming Sunday for Under 14’s, Roller Mills and Under 45kgs at Waihi Athletic Rugby Club at 11am. We have confirmed all our rep coaches except for the Under 45kgs team so if you think you would like to have a go at rep coaching do not be a stranger, it is short and sweet season and I will give you all the support you need so give me a call or send me an e-mail.
Well look forward to the coming month ahead, remember to continue to love your rugby and there is always room for development whether you’re a player or a coach so if you need a hand just sing out.
